We read somewhere: the lakes of Northern Italy invite you to discover them, conquer them and then fall head over heels in love with them. As the lakes are set in an idyllic mountain and hill landscape, we knew we just had to come here for a motorcycle tour. Lake Como is elongated and splits into two branches and is the deepest lake in Italy and, after Lake Garda and Lake Maggiore, the third largest.
From Menaggio as our central point we have 2 beautiful rides here discovering Lake Como, but also Lake Lugano ánd Lake Maggiore.. The impressive mountain range the Alps stretches across the countries of Austria, Italy, France, Switzerland and even a bit over Germany and Slovenia. One-fifth of it lies in France. Did you know it has as many as 128 peaks rising above 4,000 metres / 13.123 ft.? With Annecy as our central point we’re at the Northern part of the Alps and we have not 1, not 2, but 3 A-MA-ZING rides here (with ride 3 as our absolute favourite). Although the be picturesque town of Rotttweil is not actually IN the Black Forest it is situated just on the edge of the Black Forest and therefor still a very good start to explore the Black Forest as the 2 rides we have in this tour will of course be going into the Black Forest! Ride 1 will take you to the Northern part and ride 2 to the Southern part.
